Probably the smallest pneumatic drill with angle head in the world

With an angle-head height (900) of just 15 mm, BIAX's pneumatically operated BEW 309 E hole deburrer is the smallest of its kind in the world. It stands out for the fact that its special tool holder makes collets unnecessary and so saves space. BIAX is now introducing a drill with special tool holder for the BEW 309 E that is designed to drill into soft materials in places that are difficult to reach. This special drill may be between five and eight millimetres long depending on customer requirements. It is available with a diameter of either 1.5 or 2 millimetres. BIAX recently developed this solution for a major aerospace customer who needed to drill cross-holes into aluminium in places that were difficult to reach.

The BEW 309 E is 239 millimetres long overall, but BIAX has also built longer special versions for other customers. Then there is the BEW 606, which means that an even longer (332 mm) and stronger standard machine is now available that also possesses a surprisingly small angle-head height of just 18 millimetres.

BIAX is a member of the Maulbronn-based Schmid & Wezel Group and has been manufacturing high-quality pneumatic and electric tools for the metalworking industries since 1919. It specialises in the development all kinds of solutions to problems that require the removal of burrs.
