Face, slot and chamfer milling are what the MaxiMill 271 does best. It is available as a face mill with a 45° approach angle or as a high-speed tool with a 17° approach angle. The result is a product portfolio consisting of fine and coarse pitch holders that offers a range of flexible application options. The MaxiMill programme has now been expanded in line with market expectations by the addition of the 12 mm system size extension. Trials using comparable competitor tools provided conclusive results: in unalloyed S355 structural steel, a 125 mm diameter MaxiMill 271 face miller returned a 50% higher feed per tooth fz; the CERATIZIT system exhibited an increase of 200% at cutting depth ap. There's no holding the MaxiMill in terms of chip removal rates (Q) either: the tool increases these by 430% (523 cm³/min as opposed to 97 cm³/min), resulting in 50% more completed components.
