durcrete ?shot? is a special concrete mix design for slender, non-combustible, projectile-resistant façades and wall claddings. The technology is based on steel-fibre-reinforced ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) with the binder Nanodur Compound 5941 Grey from Dyckerhoff GmbH.
Design is available as a ventilated curtain-wall façade in accordance with BS 8298, NF P65-202, DIN 18516-5 or similar standards and no specific permits are required. Storey-high panels can be fastened to supporting constructions with time-proven anchoring systems for natural stone (mortar anchors or rail systems). Panels made of durcrete ?shot? can also be executed as large-format, walled-up, external-wall cladding on base supporting surfaces, regardless of the need for any special justification. Both modes of construction are especially interesting for upgrading existing buildings. For newbuild applications, sandwich elements or storey-high and room-wide curtain façade panels can be employed. Due to specific components of the recipe which deviate from DIN EN 206/EC2, a consent may even be necessary in individual cases.
