So I've been kicking around this idea for quite sometime but only recently pulled the trigger and sat down to design it. Basically it's a modular tombstone that mounts on the 4th axis using 8020 t-slot extrusions. The 4th is a South Bend 6" rotary I picked up from Grizzly. Initially I was concerned about rigidity with this setup as the t-slot extrusions are only aluminum. But after building and assembling everything I was pleasantly surprised at how solid everything actually was. The t-slot extrusions can be unbolted and remounted in any configuration to support pretty much any given setup. With keeping with the modular theme, I made the end plate with a stub shaft to accommodate an end support pillow block setup. I have not yet made this piece, but it's on the list of to-do's. Onto the pics/vids.
