    test VFD output

I am running linuxcnc with the G540, I also have a superPID2 to control the speed of a router, I think that I may have hurt the VFD output on the G540, I have 5.2V in on pin9 and am getting 4.9V out on pin8 no matter what I do.
Is there any test I can do on the G540 test this output?

    Re: test VFD output

I contacted Gecko and this is the reply that I received back from Marcus.

"You can test this by disconnecting your DB25 connector from the G540. You should read 0V on the VFD OUT pin, which will indicate that it is working correctly. If you are still showing 5V on there I would recommend sending the rive back for evaluation. "

So back to Gecko it goes.

I've seen this before on Mach3. What the problem is the state of the step and dir pins. Try change them from low to high or visa versa.
