Through studies and production tests, FERG has developed a new range of taps that allow high working speeds while ensuring precise threading in advance and good chip removal during the retreat. These new references receive the following names: TV-127A, tap for threading blind holes. TV-627A, axial coolant tap for deep blind hole tapping. Their special design makes them suitable for machine threading in various materials: Austenitic and martensitic stainless steels and high strength stainless steels. Chrome-Nickel alloys. Construction steels and treated steels up to a resistance of 1300 N / mm². Cast steels with nodular graphite. FERG has developed a special geometry in order to offer the end user some important advantages: The use of a highly alloyed high-speed steel that increases the wear resistance of the tools, thus increasing their performance. An undercut geometry has been designed and tested for different types of materials to be threaded, always with the aim that it can be used in a wide range of threading applications. It directly contributes to the customer a reduction in the number of tools and therefore an optimization of storage costs. The combination of TV, coating + surface treatment of the taps improves the removal and output of chips. This is especially important when these taps are used for tapping deep holes and materials with hard-to-remove chips. Taps with helical flutes for tapping blind holes are recessed at the back of the thread to reduce friction and prevent breakage during chip removal. They allow threading at higher cutting speeds, thus improving working times. The new range of Syn taps are also available with internal cooling with axial outlet and its name is: TV-627A. The range of TV-627A taps, with internal axial cooling, allows high-pressure coolant to reach the cutting area in order to guarantee: correct cooling, lubrication and facilitate the extraction of chips towards the outside. Nowadays, production centers are equipped with the most modern machine tool equipment and therefore it is necessary that all operations and tools are adequate and optimized for profitable manufacturing. With this objective and in accordance with our trajectory, FERG offers to the clients all the technical and human support every day.
