Hi,

I have a 40w k40 chinese laser (UK based)

I recently run the water to hot and the laser stopped working.

I replaced the tube, and now the laser will only run on a power of 25%, if i turn the power slightly above that it will not run.

Will i need a new psu? or is there somthing i may be missing?

Heres a photo of the psu, are there any fuses which may cause this types of problem?

Do you have a mA meter on the tube? It needs to be in series with the ground lead.

i hope to find out this answer as well as im having the same trouble. i cant run mine over 20% and the Ma meter goes off the chart. i have posted a video on my post..
