    622 Tool Arm Fault alarm

Have the "622 Tool Arm Fault" alarm, on newer VF5SS. Problem is, it's before the machine is fired up. I can't power up servos with this problem present, and I can't debug or recover without the servos powered up. Is there a manual way to force the arm back into position (not lowered, just slightly rotated), or bypass the alarm long enough to get the machine fired up? Thanks.

Don't do a power up, home the axis's only. Zero return all axis's and you should be okay to work on it. See if that will work.

    Define "Fired up".

When you turn on the machine you should be able to clear all alarms before homing the machine by pressing the RESET button once for each alarm. At this point you should be able to go into tool change recover mode.

I was able to solve this problem on a VF2SS by going into the parameters and disabling the tool changer. Then I was able to power up/restart. When I did this I noticed the arm move slightly. I then re-enabled the tool changer and then everything worked again.
