    a axis removal

Just picked up another fadal vmc 15. It has a 4th axis and i want to remove it and use a vise on it. Can i just unplug it and change parameters or is there a plug that needs to go in the connection?

There is a plug that goes in there. If you don't have a plug, you may be able to turn it off in the params and unplug the cards and order one in the meantime or make one from the schematics. I included one. Pretty easy.
I have a customer that uses a hand winch and keeps theirs hanging out of the way near the top of the enclosure. They said they've been doing that for 30 years.
