PROBLEM: AT ANY TIME THE SPINDEL IS COMMANDED TO STOP I GET ALERT CODE - 16730
AFTER A DATA RESET I GET ALERT CODE 12479 IF I TRY AND RESTART SPINDLE OR A 15901 WHEN PERFORMING A TOOL CHANGE AFTER THE 16730 HAS SET.
ONLY WAY AROUND THIS IS TO DO A FULL POWER DOWN REALIGN AND SO ON. EVERY TIME i NEED TO STOP THE SPINDLE

THIS USED TO BE AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM BUT NOW IT IS EVERY TIME IF THE SPINDLE SPEED IS ANYWHERE OVER LETS SAY 2000 RPM IF ITS UNDER THAT EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD

WHAT PART IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING ON THE BRAKES SO TO SPEAK IN THIS SITUATION? WOULD SWAPING A MAIN POWER INPUT PHASE AROUND POSSIBLY BE THE FIX?

What fault code do you see on the Fanuc A06B-6959-C212 Spindle drive when this happens?

I get an AL-02 code on the digital readout

Fanuc-Manual:
Alarm 02 (AL-02) Excessive Speed Deviation
Causes:
Overload; such as mechanical binding
transistor module is damaged,
loose connections, to motor power
error with speed feedback signal,
blown fuse.

Solution:
Replace parts, check connections, review cutting conditions.

The fact that it only happens during deceleration; but not during normal cycles may be orientation board related
or loose wires.
