    Bearing info? MultiCAM 1000 Router 1-103-R

    Hey Guys;

    I've replaced the linear bearing blocks on my machine which I thought were causing a creaking noise but of course using a stethoscope I now realize its the noise is from the bearings in the stepper gearboxes themselves. MultiCAM Canada has confirmed there are two bearing in each motor gearbox install. Maurice thinks they are common bearings likely 6202 but he's not sure of that number. Although that number corresponds well. I went ahead and ordered them from MultiCAM just in case but its been 3 weeks now and the last I heard from them was that they were still waiting to hear from their vendor before giving me a ship date. I'm already very likely overpaying for the parts which is OK if the service is there but ........

    Does anyone know what these bearings are or can confirm Maurice's # or something I can cross reference as I'd like this fixed ASAP.

    MC Canada describes them as; "bearing ball 15mm id35 OD snap ring"

    Thanks
    Mike

    You might want to open up the gearbox and take a look, it's a pretty simple job. The last time I saw this happen the bearing spun in the housing and I had to use some Loctite bearing mount to repair. Once you're in there, the bearings should have numbers on them and your local bearing vendor should be able to get them at much less cost than MultiCAM.

    Just after I posted this MC Canada sent them out and I received them 3 weeks after I ordered them... express though. Good thing I wasn't down and waiting on these bearings. The bearings they sent were NSK 6202DU

    Hey Mike,

    I actually have the problem you THOUGHT you had and need to replace my block bearings on my Multicam 1000. Would you happen to have a part number or any info about what those block bearings were that you ordered? Only one of them is busted, so it still works, but not without anxiety.

    Thanks!

    Guy;

    MAC941B1799-3 was the part number for my X and Y linear bearings but the one for the Z axis is different.
