Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

I just bought a 412V with a heidenhain 151 control, built in 1986 with a 6000rpm spindle. The batteries were dead, so I replaced them and then tried several different parameter lists, with no success. Can anyone help me out? 236 parameters, I don't know how to look up what variant/software/ etc.

Okay, I think I found a good set of parameteres, but here's where things get crappy. I write them all in, but can't get past DC Relay Voltage Missing. On next start up, the parameters are gone again. I replaced the batteries with known new AA cells. Is it time for a retrofit?

Okay, definitely leaning towards a retrofit. I now need wiring diagrams for this thing. Anyone have diagrams for a 412 with TNC151?

...retrofit sounds good but, is a big step. Most times never gets finished and sits in the corner of the garage collecting dust on top of the pool table.. Let's see if we can fix your current setup.....I see you said there was error code of a Voltage problem....have you tested all the Power Supplies? 5vdc, +12., -12vdc, etc?

24 v power supply (only non-ac supply I see) is pumping along at 24v. I need diagrams to go any further

...here's a 151 service manual I found for a start. The 412 looks a little more harder to find,so far.

Thank you, I have found the 151 manual before, but it just doesn't have enough info unfortunately. The 412 has proven to be nigh impossible to find. I'm now hitting up paid tech support places to try to find one....

I've ordered a maintenance manual from BPTParts.com, so hopefully I'll have something to go off of next week.

...oh, Textron has some support for the machine. That's good news. I was looking thru that Heidenhain manual and saw on page18 some Test Points just in case you miss it.

Manuals have arrived! Looks like my PC100 (PLC) board is non-functional. It has 24V in, it has the E-Stop signal, and it is not enabling CR2, to start the machine.

Attached is the wiring diagram I have for this machine.... it seems to me that if 2CR isn't energized, the machine will not be able to turn on. I was wrong earlier, it doesn't appear that the E-STOP voltage is reaching the PC100 board.Attachment 498990

...much better and very readable when zooming in. Have you checked the Limit Switches on each Axis? They maybe are not functioning correctly.

I have bypassed the limit switches by applying power directly to J4/3 and I get the same result - 2CR and 1 CR will not turn on (nothing changes). I can turn on both by applying power directly to J7/1 for 1CR and J3/10 for 2CR. The control still displays the same error and does not respond. I'm suspect of the PLC board all together.

...is this machine wired for 4th Axis? ....I see an Input to PC100 marked "4th fitted"... may need a dummy Plug if, no 4th is present.

No 4th axis, and according to the previous owner, has never had a 4th axis.

could this be a Parameter setting or bios? but, the issue of E Stop string not being completed for your machine sounds more likely the problem not the PC100 hopefully. The Axis amp's would be another possible thing to check they are sending a clear to enable signal to the PC100

    Hi,
I have a lot of experience with the HEIDENHAIN controls. Old and new ones too.
When you change the batteries you need to clean the contacts with sandpaper before you put in the new ones.
Happened to me too and not only once.
