Can't copy/paste program file from network folder to cnc internal memory

After a lot of trial I set up my fanuc 32i model b as FTP client to access programs from a folder hosted at my FTP server. I can see the files in the remote folder from the cnc machine, but I can't copy paste the files to the internal memory folders. When I hit "paste" in the internal memory folder I get an error "can not copy/move" (see the attached picture). However I can copy files from the USB drive to the internal memory folders, I don't get it why it won't work the same way.

Even though the CNC can see the files, if the FTP user account only has read-only access, the CNC might fail to properly download or move them.
This is because the “copy” function might involve some temporary write permissions.
Check your FTP server settings and make sure the user credentials used by the CNC have read and write permissions to the FTP folder.

When using the FTP transfer from the PC to the internal machine memory, you can not COPY/PASTE as from USB or CF card because the CNC can not hold the data on buffer as is external source that is not present on the mainboard like USB or CF card
if you want to copy the files from the PC to the machine meory using the machine interface ,you have to use the fucntions that re there and i mean PGET pset and FSET

if you want a easier way ,go by the Fanuc transfer tool software for 20 euro that is a simple software created by Fanuc and is a DRAG and DROP system for copying files form the CNC to PC and viceversa with a blink of an eye

In my case I select the file, click the soft keys "F input" followed by "f get" and then "exec" but I get the error "cannot use I/O device". Chatgpt says this happens because I need to change the destination device, does this make any sense?

It's done, some alarm on the machine was preventing the "F INPUT" from the input device, we cleared the alarms and now it works.
