    CB 1.0 64-bit/ Win10 Pro 64-bit mouse issue

I just posted this on the CB forum but I'm also posting here as a precaution for getting attention on this issue I recently encountered.

I don't recall this happening before now, but then I'm older than ever before ;-).

    Win 10 22H2 OS Build 19045.5487

Using an existing CB 1.0 file that is two years old, or opening a new file and creating a simple 6 node polyline, after double-clicking a polyline that has multiple nodes and hovering the mouse cursor over a node I want to move...the mouse cursor disappears the moment the cursor pointer is over the node. If I have accurately positioned the mouse over the node before it disappears and then left-click to move the node, the node does move, but there is a graphics rendering delay before it shows the node position changing.

CB Options for Graphics mode is Open GL as it has always been during my use since 0.9.8 and 1.0.

Since there have been several Windows updates in addition to installing Microsoft's Visual Studio Code with the PlatformIO plugin and all its JS requirements I am wondering whether this is related to the strange cursor behavior I am now seeing in CB 1.0.

BTW: It does this regardless of Display Graphics Mode being Open GL or GDI. I know I'm on a much later version of .NET than 4.5 and most likely one that is current.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

Do you have the snappy plug in installed?

    Hi Bob, thanks you asking.

Yes, I installed it within the last 60 days or so and it worked beautifully for snapping to nodes that were not on a grid intersection. Is this the culprit?

Ooops! Yikes, I just checked the Snappy plugin settings and it was set to "Hide cursor at snap". With this unchecked the problem appears to be solved!

I use the hide on snap to make sure I am moving/rotating/positioning stuff to exactly the point I want to. It would be nice if there was a different type of indicator we could use like a change of cursor view or something like that.

In my CAD software, it actually tells me what feature I am snapping to. Grid endpoint midpoint vertex etc

Interesting. But I found that the cursor went into hidden mode without snapping to the node such that when I moved to a new point nothing was moved.
Since I've only installed the Snappy plugin about a month or so ago and used it when doing some node editing of a previous CB1.0 drawing, the hide cursor on snap wasn't activated (and I hadn't even looked at the Snappy settings at that time) and it faithfully snapped to any on or off grid node for moving the node with cursor fully in view.

A month later, reopening the same CB drawing the hide cursor on snap was active. Weird.

I probably use CB half the time as a CAD drawing app and half for CAM purposes these days.

Yeah I've had the cursor stay hidden a couple times. Even on the menus. I work on three screens at the same time most of the time, and I'll have to scroll onto one of the other monitors to find the cursor.

Better use a Mac. When you shake the mouse, the cursor gets bigger and bigger and you can also find it on several monitors

that wouldn't help when the cursor is invisible.
