I have a 3 axis mill that I just finished setting up and am trying to get the software configured correctly. I have it pretty close but I have noticed that the jog tool shows the xy cross plus the jog for z and for some reason A is shown as well. I don't have a 4th axis but I do have my y-axis (that moves the gantry) set up on 2 controllers. It's probably overkill doing that on my small mill, but it does make gantry straightening procedure possible.

I went through all the settings menus multiple times on different days to see if I missed it and not seeing an option that looks incorrectly set. I asked Google and found that at one point there must have been an Axis menu that is not currently available. I exported a profile and looked at the settings.settings file and it appears that only axes 0-2 are enabled.

Is there something else I should try? My mill isn't on my network right now (shop is too far for wifi to reach) so I'm currently running version 20240102. I downloaded and intend to try the current version 20250325 but unless this is either a bug or a broken setup I'm not sure how that will help.

FWIW, I tried updating to the newest version but it does not appear to work. I am running a RPi4 with 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS but the available installers are for either RPi4 32-bit or RPi5 64-bit. I tried both just in case but neither will run so I'm back on the 2024 release. I didn't see any way to download an older version so I'm kinda stuck with what I have unless I want to go back a 32-bit OS.

Since I didn't get a response here I emailed PlanetCNC directly. I have seen them respond here many times so was surprised no response by my question. Either way they did provide a link to the solution.

I confirmed that this does fix the issue in version 2024.01.02. As of last week when I tested this I could not install the build from 2025.03.25 (RPi4 64-bit not released) so I tried the previous version 2024.08.27 and it had a bug. I will be trying the new release shortly and hopefully it doesn't have the bug so I can stay current.

Sorry if I did not respond. After I read your question I started making 64bit RPi4 version because I was sure it will solve your issue.
