    Look through the ladder and see if you find any mention of the M250 code? It's possible your lathe doesn't have the service mode function. I believe that is the only reference I found to the code in all the documentation that came with our machine. It works on my Puma 300. I'll look tomorrow at the documentation for my machine and see if I can find anything to help you.

    It is in the field "program drawing number" in the <TITLE> Page, inside the <SYSTEM> Key

    Here is how I found it on my machine.

    Hit the "SYSTEM" button then arrow over till you see "PMC CONFIG" hit that soft key, then the "title" button.

    My program drawing NO. looks like this.

    PM24S0IDB10, PM24DB10. MEM

    if that helps?

    Thanks, I'll check it out and get back to you with that number, Hey while I got your ear, what parameter is needed to change the absolute position on the program check screen (or any screen for that matter) to show the programmed axis numbers (X Y Z ) without the tool offset showing, looking through the book I see 3104.6 or 3129.1 haven't try'ed them yet, maybe you know? I don't care what the offset is, I just want to see the programmed numbers. thanks again

    M250 exists on your ladder.
    You need to be in MDI.
    M251 should be off
    NRST=0
    M32=0 (M30/M02 not happening)
    K12.0=1 (Keep Service Mode = Allow Service mode)
    K10.7=0 (Non Technomech)
    SA=1 (Servo ready)

    Note: service mode will turn off if ANY of the following happens:
    Go Out of MDI, activate M251, M2 or M30, Press NC Reset

    Thanks for the reply, I'll give it shot and let you know. you use the M250, can you move the tool around while the spindle is running and door open for ex. setting a Z zero on a part ?
