    Ethernet breakout board for CNC?

So far I´ve been using the parallell port from my pc to the cnc-controller but I´ve understood that ethernet is the ultimate thing to go for.
Can anybody her tell me which card I should buy? A good and affordable one that is compatible for Mach3..

Re: Ethernet breakout board for CNC?

    Hi,
I use an Ethernet SmoothStepper ($225USD by Warp9TD) and my own design breakout board and have done for about nine years. I ditched Mach3 at the same time and have been using Mach4. The ESS will run either.

I'd recommend an MB3 breakout board from CNCRoom, it has all three ports fully developed, good quality and good balance of inputs and outputs....but costly, about $200. A C10 ($23.00) or a C25 ($32.000
are useful and much cheaper but also less sophisticated.
