    Fusion 360 Probing

Has anyone been able to use the new probing routines in Fusion 360?

I tried to probe a simple hole and the post spits out this:

Hay ya Brian at the moment you have to add the probing to the post.

This is a question for the HSM forum HSM Post Processor Forum - Autodesk Community or try on the fusion cam forum https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/compu...-cam/bd-p/2070

Error: The probe cycle 'probing-xy-circular-hole' is machine specific and must always be handled in the post configuration. This part means there is nothing in the post that makes the probing happen.

If you do a search on the HSM forum there may be one there that does probing there are a lot of tormach post there.

I have a probe never used it, it's still in it's box to chicken to use it they are to expensive to fix.

Daniel - I will check out that other forum. Thanks.

I couldn't live without my probe. I love it. I am surprised you haven't tried it. In pathpilot probing works amazingly. When I used Mach3 the overtravel from the buffered movements trashed a few probe tips for sure.

I am still useing M3 I might use it when M4 is working better and I can use a touch probe and the probe connected at the same time, the ESS is meant to have 3 probing connections.

I was using the wild horse probe - but it really was a bit "wild" (inconsistent)
So I retrofitted a renishaw probe to work in path pilot. I have a thread here describing it.

Have you tried the Linux version of the probing macro, that may work

Daniel - the probing within pathpilot works great. But is really limited to xyz, no rotary axis probing.

    Re: Fusion 360 Probing

As the Error: line indicates, the POST for the Tormach PathPilot will need to be updated to support the probing.
