    g71 type 2

I am trying to use a g71 to rough an internal profile with an undercut. The problem is it wants to do the undercut with 1 cut. I am wondering how I can do this with a g71 type 2? I have never tried it and I am wondering how to get it working.

    thanks in advance

Specify both X and Z in the P-block, for type II operation.

I figured it out. I had to change a parameter in the controler and everything seems to be working fine.

I put the x and z on the p line and i was getting an error no matter what I did. I then was told that I had to change a parameter to be able to use a type 2 roughing cycle on a controler from the mid 90s. I changed the parameter and put the x and z on the same line and now it works
