    gecko wiring

Hi, I've decided to upgrade my machine to a gecko g540 and was wondering if anyone had built their own recently. I've been using the diagram from Homann designs. But, I wanted to simplify it a fraction.
I've adjusted the original diagram to exclude the second relay, and change the e-stop position with the kcd2 switch. I was wondering if this would work?
    cheers, Paul

That will work, but it is NOT SAFE.
If there is a fault with the G540 FETs that suddenly turns on the relay, say starting the spindle, pushing the reset will do nothing.

That’s why the EStop needs to always remove AC power from the system and make it safe.

Also, you do not have my approval to modify and distribute my diagrams, especially when they are modified to present an unsafe schematic.
    Please delete it.

    Cheers,

    Peter

    Hi PHomann, Sorry ,
But it was not my intention to misguide or misdirect anyone, far from it. My intention was to ask if it would work? It seems that not only can I not remove the download, but I cannot find help to do so.
Again, apologies. I'll remove myself from the site.

Don’t sweat. I just can’t have a diagram like that circulating on the web.
Normally there is an “edit” button for the author that you can use.
If not see if you can contact an administrator.

    Don’t leave the forum though.

    Cheers
