    Gerry 2010 auto zero

I have searched all over the internet for the auto tool zero.Do I have to use two length sensors?I have only one and I would like to put in a fixed position.
I work with Vectric Aspire and I use mostly 2-3 tools.
I want to measure each tool at the fixed position,is this possible using only one touch plate?
Measure the first tool, insert the gcode, begin code, return for the second tool, change tool,go to fixed position to measure tool, continue job etc?
I find very useful the interface and I really love the simplicity of Gerry 2010.

Copied from my reply to your email.
Yes, you can only use one fixed plate. There are two different ways to do it.

    1) Mount the plate to the spoilboard or table, and set Z zero to be the bottom of your stock in Aspire.

    2) If you zero to the top, then use the Material Offset option in the 2010 Screenset to specify where Z zero is relative to the bottom of the fixed plate.

With either method, you'll need to jog over to the fixed plate, and run the Initial Auto Zero, which sets Z zero, and stores the fixed plate location.
The after tool changes, the tool will automatically be measured to the fixed plate.

Agree. I have the dual zero plate on mine, one in the spoilboard and one movable. Makes long runs much easier.
