Heidenhain TNC 530 Tool changer not in position DMG MORI CNC MILL

i had a question for the gurus here i am new to heidenhain while i was learning the control i managed to do a tool change
simple enough; it did the tool change but then i got this message alarm TC: changer not in position and it's not going away
in my instructional manual i have two ways to clear this one is through using the soft keys but the features are not available they're all gray
and the other is to use "MOD" and passcode "789" however it's not letting me in
do you guys have any experience with that? i appreciate the help.

Maybe you can try this and see if it helps.
    1. Jog mode
    2. Area switchover
    3. Softkey 7 deckel maho
    4. Softkey 7 manual operation
    5. Softkey 1 tool change
    6. With the keys yellow or violet, the tool changer can be moved. If it doesn't move after poking these,
    7. Ref the axis. And all should work.

sorry what do you mean by area switchover? the buttons on the left? there is none

there is a recover procedure for this through jog mode and softkeys but i can't figure out how to enable the tool changer it's always greyed out

ok so the passcode was good it just doesn't open to another page it enables operator to access WRENCH
from TOOL TABLE to Wrench icon then the soft keys for recovery i did something to fix it but not entirely sure what i did.
the question though is how to avoid this? if it's not power outage ?
