Help Needed with Edgecam Post Processor Issue

    Hello everyone,

I am currently using the Edgecam software and I believe there is an issue with the default post file. I am trying to create a bolt head with a diameter of Ø16.5 and a depth of 10.5mm. To do this, I am using the “Profile Mill” feature and have activated the “Helical” option in the settings.

However, when I set the Start or End Extension values to zero, the NC code generated by the program does not run on my machine. It gives an error related to the M43 code, and the milling machine becomes unresponsive at that line. I understand that I need to input values for the Start or End Extension fields, but I would prefer not to do this.

I have attached the settings I used and the NC code generated by the program. I am unsure how to resolve this issue. I am using a Mitsubishi M80 series machine. If anyone has a working or corrected post processor for this machine, could you please share it with me?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Help Needed with Edgecam Post Processor Issue

Hello Friend. Interestingly, I’ve noticed a similar problem with hole drilling posts, and after changing tools, the X-axis motion isn’t functioning as expected. The post seems to generate movement only along the Y-axis.

I’ve attached photos of the controller and machine in the forum post. If anyone has a working post processor for this setup, I’d be immensely grateful. I’ve been troubleshooting this for days.
