How to Locate the Stock for Initial Cut

I have read some post on how to locate a stock for initial cnc cut but all are quite confusing for the basic knowledge I have. In the attached I picked a point in my CAM which can be anywhere but regardless where I pick how do I set my stock on the cnc table to align with the point I pick? The cnc is a home build machine about 3'x4' tabletop and I run Mach3.

    Thanks

I thought been close to origin it will be easier to move the stock (less distance to move) but I will give it a try, perhaps on the left.
    Thank for the help

This is how I did it. Moved the object to the lower left quadrant, the right object side touches the Y axis and the top object side touches the X axis. Now it should be easy to locate the object on the cnc tabletop. Will give it a try tomorrow
