Locking out editing of NC code???

I'm looking for some input here. I have just started programming with a new company and have been asked/told to look into how I could lock out editing of NC code by the guys on the floor. His goal ultimately is to prevent changing of feed rates on the floor because it affects run times. (I'm not particularly looking to discuss the practicality of this, as I have already discussed that with him) Is anyone aware of a practical way to allow editing of "header" information in the program/code but not feeds and speeds etc? Thanks in advance for any input.

Most if not all CNC controls have an edit enable/lock key.

Yes, but the key is all or nothing. He wants to leave part of the program open to editing and I don't want to have to go take away all of the keys and then bring them back when needed.

It's all or nothing , there are no other options . The easiest thing to do is enforce a zero tolerance policy for your operators , if they mess with the code they're immediately out the door
