    Mazak T2 initialisation procedure

does anyone have the initialization procedure for the mazatrol T2 control ,
we have had a problem after the machine has been switched off for a while
we have the parameters but can't input them , i presume ,until the machine has been initialized.

any help would be gratefully accepted.

Note: The transfer of Mazatrol programs with CMT IO requires
    PC-DNC plus 3.3.1 or later.
When transferring to / from this CNC, it is recommended that
you use a hardware handshake cable. Diagram:

    Hi
There is an initialization pocedure to do ( Mazak Service Bulletin 0989-002) to clear the memory before i can do any of the inputting of parameters.
this is what i need to re-initialize the machine, without this, the memory and parameter table is full of garbage which throws erronious error messages
and stops the input of parameters.

Well I would enter everything manually at first, look at the parameters table and see if there are any parameters with the wrong value or the asterisks (*) instead of a value, then insert the value that it is supposed to be. I would also delete all non-macros programs from memory and macros as well if they are all well backed up for reloading.
If that does not work then you could look at this thread: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/mazak_...2_nmi23-2.html
Although in my opinion clearing memory by removing battery and waiting might not be the idea of the year but I wouldn't know what other methods there could be (there would be DIP switch you might find in your books their different functions). For any more info try asking MrMazak or MemoryMan I don't really work with Mazaks.
    Cheers.
