Milltronics mb19 setup troyke 4th a-axis with yaskawa sigma 1 drives

Trying to post on my phone. I'll clean it up on the laptop shortly. Copying Facebook post.

Background info from Thursday and Friday

This looks like fun. Need a little help with the wiring. Hooking up in my MB-19D. Was removed from a similar era milltronics mill.

4 little wires that are blue black white and red. Blue black white have pins on them. I think blue is home connector pin 7 and possibly white is the ground pin 8.

Red was cut and has a wire added on without a pin.

Looking at the other wires in the home connector. Green and white pairs go to a cord that has red and black also. The 3 sets of them are the 3 red marked 7 8 9 and the black behind and shifted over. Is that just power distribution?

Wiring on the bottom of the drives I understand along with the 1cn and 2 can cables.

Wires are all done and correct I believe. I had the wrong manual from milltronics from 2 years ago. It had the the glentech drives info and I have yaskawa drives. They sent different manuals Friday. Pictures attached from them.

I didn't realize the brake air solenoid was at the rotary. That's the red and black wires I couldn't figure out

    Start here for current problem.

Follow up on the rotary. Everything hooked up but I can't set the parameters given for cn-01 008ch and cn-02 0001h. The bit selection only goes up to F. The parameters from milltronics have an H in them. Using the small digital operator to program them. The XYZ axis drives have the same cn-01 and cn-02 parameters specified on the previous page so I set the a-axis drive the same for them.

Powered up, cleared estop, pushed reset drive button. rotary starts spinning fast and doesn't stop. Slowed down a-axis parameters in the milltronics control panel settings. No change. Played around tried a few different settings on the control panel. No change. E stop stops it.

This is all before trying to home the machine so it shouldn't be running at all.

Removed belt cover and belt. After e stop I can turn the servo pulley with my hand and the position changes smoothly so I think the encoder is working correctly.

Setup a spare yaskawa drive and it behaves the same. Unplugged the cn1 connection on the drive and it just sits. Using the yaskawa digital operator I can jog it nice. Unplugged the z and a axis cn1 cables at both ends and swapped them. Same results so I believe that cable is good.

Any thoughts before I reach back out to milltronics on Monday

Up and running. Got parts from Jeremy, that bought out Bob's stuff. Turns out I was missing chips for the a and b axis.
