    Murata Turret

Hi: I have a 21 year old Murata 2044 EZ, 18 station turret run by a fanuc 18i.
Lately my main auto index station 1 has been burring like crazy. I've re honed the tooling and cleaned the tool pockets and cylinders.
No avail. one side of the tool, ( 2.000 X .0200 ) rectangle parting tool is perfect, but the opposite side of the punch line is quite burred.
The machine interlocks seem to index properly and there is no major slack in the interlocks.
Does this sound like a fanuc parameter problem or more to something mechanical?
I had a tech come in a do a grid shift adjustment a few years back and it seem to work on a similar issue on another machine we have.I hesitate to call him in again as he's quite expensive and doesn't always have the answers

    Thanks for your time

It sounds more mechanical than a Fanuc parameter problem.
Maybe you can check the turret alignment and repeatability.
