Seem to be 5000rpm max, as there is a 1:2 belt and pulley gear built in to it.
In the manual it says 5000rpm, and max 500hz.
Does that mean its a 12 pole motor?
But still, what would the nominal frequency be?
1-604-0001 (V-2604-A-19-003) 10K Max 9.0kW@750rpm (This is a 10,0000 RPM Motor)
Kollmorgen Induction Spindle Motor (Saber-Arrow) 5K-High torque & used for the 8K-STD-Torque Spindle
Part Numbers:
1-604-0001 - Cincinnati Milacron Electronic Systems Division (ESD)

V-2604-AA26-042 – 10K MOTOR-SPINDLE - KOLLMORGEN/ INLAND
Website: KilroyWasHere.com may help you find someone to answer this question.
Thanks, but it says 9kw at 5000rpm on the motor. and there is a built in belt gear that double the speed to 10000rpm.
The Motor Plate says MAX Speed 10,000 RPM. The Cincinnati Milacron Print 1267721-755 - CM-UK Factory Bill of Material Part Number says 10,000
RPM. The Gear on the Spindle was twice the Diameter of the gear on the MOTOR.
This makes it a 5,000 RPM Spindle; when the Motor is at 10,000 RPM. I worked for Cincinnati Milacron for 45 yr, 2 months and 24 days.
Maybe you can contact Kilroy as I suggested to begin with.
They Rebuild the Drives and have 20 repaired units in stock.
They would want the Model and serial number off the old BDS5 Unit. They would have knowledge of the motor as well.
The motor 1-604-0001 - Cincinnati Milacron Electronic Systems Division (ESD) was supplied to ESD from Inland USA.
ESD made many of the Electronic Boards for the Servo Drives. The Kollmorgen Division closed years ago. ESD was purchased by Siemens'
and has facilities as well in the USA.
If this machine has a serial plate on it take a good picture and post it. I may have a BOM on the machine maybe?
Ok thanks.
