Not getting square cuts on my LC4896? any ideas?

I am having a tough time getting square cuts out of my machine. I have tried squaring the gantry with a dial caliper and then a feeler gauge against a squared up sheet of mdx from my slider. Checked with a Starrett for square.
I am cutting cabinet parts using Moziak software to generate code. The cuts are all a little out of square which is more apparent on the larger doors and panels. Especially noticeable when two doors meet. I have been chasing this and am looking for tips.
I have trued the gantry up three times and am wondering if it is something else going on. Poor vacuum, Dulled bit, software or something else? any ideas of what to look for?

    thanks

You might check with Techno. Apparently they have some squaring instructions. There's some discussion of it here: https://en.industryarena.com/forum/l...e--195686.html

    1) first check all axes are moving the correct distance. If incorrect fix that first 2) once the axes are moving the correct distance create a large rectangle and move the machine to each corner. I use a steel pointer and make a small mark in the wasteboard or in masking tape. Then measure the diagonals. This will tell you which direction to move the machine. Often its just a small rotation of one of the ballscrews. Then do a slightly different big rectangle and remeasure. Once you are happy then check everything with squares and dial guages as this may give you further clues to what's going on as well. Peter

Thanks for the link. I squared the machine using the technical documentation that comes with the machine. It is better but not perfect. According to that link it looks like there are a few other things to check.

    Hello,

We've got a few pointers that can help, and some potential spots that could be loose that you should check (specifically the 2 aluminum blocks that hold the undercarriage to the rails, see attached image), as well as a better method for squaring up. Reach out to us and we'll send it to you. I'll also work on posting it to make it more widely available.
    www.armorcnc.com
our contact info is on there.
We will go over it with you to get things where they need to be - no charge for support as always.

I will be reaching out to you Eric. I was able to get the x and y square with dial indicator mounted in the spindle. I am running the indicator against a squared up sheet of mdf with a Starrett straightedge against the edge being measured (to help eliminate small variations from the table saw cuts on the edge of the mdf). It took a lot of adjusting back and forth to get it just right.
Once done I cleaned and lubed the ball screws.
The door and panel cuts are squarer but a few are still a little out. Something I might notice but probably not the client especially after sanding etc.
One thing I noticed is I am now getting a bit more chatter along the y axis. (Brand new Amana 3/8 compression bit) not sure if it’s a binding problem, not enough lubricant or something is loose and in need of adjustment.
I am just putting this on here if anyone else runs into the same problem.
