    Parameter 1008

    Hi
In one of my machine tools, I have used the parameter 1008-bit 1 to rotate the table in one direction due to the table error and failure to correct the mechanical problem of the table. But sometimes, in some cases, the table turns again in two directions. And I have to reset the parameters and turn the machine off and on. What is the problem?

CNC axis generally move shortest path, so not a surprise. Possibly it's picking up an incremental move in a program G90 G91. Also, axis motors with absolute encoders are limited to the number of turns they can make in one direction due to "count" buffer, by setting the parameter bit off then on, maybe you are resetting this to zero.

Mechanical play or backlash in the table drive Sprunki mechanism can cause position errors, leading the system to attempt corrections in both directions.
