Bystronic Laser
We have a Bystronic laser that is causing us problems,
With have a vacum leak somewhere and unable to find.
Both Heat exchangers have beeen sent away and checked all glas ware has been removed and replaced, however under advise we brought in a hand held Hellium sniffer unit and pump Hellium into the system instead of nitrogen so to locates any leaks.
we did identify possible problem areas and fixed. However we are still losing pressure approx 12/14 m/bar per minute with the result being loss off power.
Has anyone else experienced this and how did they overcome the problem?

I believe there is a service centre in the UK for bystronic.
If you fails to check the fault after many attempts it is better to call the service center.
Have you check all the laser gas tubing for the incoming and outgoing together with the valve block.- My guess that you never check these items.

Sorry to have you misunderstood what i have meant.
The tubing i refer to is the copper pipes and also the plastics pipes and not the Glass tubes on the resonator.
After some period of time the plastic tube might have miniture crack on it due to ageing. I have come across this type of problem many times before .
If there is some plastic connector on the gas line have this check also, same issue of miniture cracks also.
Of course i know that this is a industrial laser and should be a RF laser if i am not wrong.
