fanuc 10m problems
I had purchased a mill w/ fanuc 10m controls. Was working when purchased. During freight, one of the connectors for the servo motors broke and pulled the harness out. Repaired that. When machine is turned on, everything seems ok. Table motors work and I can control them from the panel just fine. I cannot get it to turn on the spindle motor. I can push the contactor in the relay and make the motor work, but I cannot figure out how to turn the motor on manually. I don't need the cnc running as I just needed to use the readout as a dro and do some manual work. Anyone know how to just turn the motor on manually?

You're saying an S1000 M3 does not work from MDI?
Check the back, most spindle drivers have fault LEDs which will tell you if anything is wrong.

In MDI mode type in s1000m3 then be sure to press th EOB button. this will add the %. your code will appear as s1000m3% then press insert. this will insert into memory.
Press the start button and you should have the spindle running at 1000 rpm.
press reset or cycle start to stop the spindle.

Oh, and also on most Fanuc's the machine builder defines certain modes as "auto" and certain modes as "manual"... Make sure your machine went through the ZRN process on boot up, then set the mode to JOG and try the spindle buttons.
