Is my KFLOP a supported version?
Hi,
I bought a KFLOP some years back, but never got around to use it.
I now have a project where I want to use the board, but I am unsure if the version of KFLOP I have is still a current version.
On the PCB it says KFLOP rev 1.2. Is this still a supported version of KFLOP?
Best regards
Jacob
Re: Is my KFLOP a supported version?
Hi Jacob,
The only difference between KFLOP Rev 1.2 and the current KFLOP Rev 1.3 is additional noise filtering on the KFLOP Reset input. With long cables and signal cross talk or in a noisy evironment could sometimes cause KFLOP to reset. Otherwise they are identical.
Here is a post showing a method of adding a 0.001uF Ceramic Capacitor near KFLOP to make is the same as a Rev 1.3 board.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the answer. I will add the capacitor and run with my current board.
Thanks for the answer.
Best regards

Re: Is my KFLOP a supported version?
I have the same question as well, except mine is KFLOP REV 1.1
I really need to retire so I'll have some time to use all this cool stuff!

Hi frostheave,
Yes it should be software compatible.
Re: Is my KFLOP a supported version?
Excellent. Thank-you Tom.
I will also add the cap.
I'm looking forward to finally using the KFLOP.
