How do I reset the encoder on my okuma MC-4VEA with a 5020m Controller
I need to get this machine to work, I believe I need to reset the parameters and I can make it to that screen but I cant move the x or y axis and I do not know the process of resetting the parameters. I am completely new at this.

In your System Parameters, you need to go to the PR Zero Offset and shift the encoder position by the amount that you are off. It will give you a "Power on effective parameter set" alarm which requires a reboot. Once you do that, you will be in the new shifted position.
It's a good idea to write the number down first so that you can go back to it if you go the wrong direction.
