Tool Probe
I have a VMX24 with Ultramax and the NNCP option
When tool length probing I get the following error some of the time
(TOOL DESTINATION OUT OF RANGE)
What I don’t understand is why this is happening. Anyone else seen this problem

I've never used a prode on a hurco, but I still might be able to help. Does the machine move at all on that line or does it error out as soon as it reads it? Also just out of curiosity since none of our hurcos have probes, can you use the probe with the ultimax ( or conversational )language?

What version is the software? Is the probe Z minimum depth set too short in the probing setup for the tool being probed? There is a rapid Z position for each tool and a monimum Z depth at which the Z axis will stop if the tool reaches the minimum. Ron
