How to bypass Linear scale in Fanuc Oi-MF controller
Hi! All,
I have one drill tap center with Fanuc Oi-MF. All three axis have linear scale and one failed in Y axis.
I tried to bypass it through 1815#opt but got alarm of SV411 which I avoid by adjust the 1829 parameter.
Now repeatability is effecting by 15/20 microns.
Can you please suggest that what I missed ? or what next I need to do?

now ,by that 15/20 microns you have the backlash on the ball screw or ballscrew bearings,this backlash was dicovered by your linear scale and if you are bypassing it now ,you use the motor encoder to position and the difference between what encoder see and where the axis is in real time result in a backlash.
i should start by checking the axial movement of the ballscrew on the ends of it and release and tight again the nut on the end bearings of the ballscrew (opposite to motor side )and check again with a dial if it is still there the 15.20 microns.
you can also adjust this backlash in parameter 1851 for every axis

You needed to set few parameters ….
Flexible gear, référence counter, cmr, not so simple….
