Re: Millport CNC Ebay find!
I have been working for several months trying to get faster Z Axis movement out of a knee mill conversion, I am driving the knee.
I am using a Nema 42 stepper motor, I would like to get 15 - 20 in/min
The motor will move the knee ok, but when I try to calibrate with Mach3 I have to slowdown to 2 in/min to get the right steps?
Any suggestions
Thanks

I'll chime in here about driving the knee as this just what I did with a DYN4 servo driver with a 1KW motor going through a 3:1 belt drive could not ask for anything betterAttachment 395352Attachment 395354Attachment 395356

I'm just east of Ottawa and when I bought mine they were both original with the large head and all air and hydraulic still attached plus this was two complete machine. They were orange/red in color.
