Sending a file to a Fanuc 0-M P/S 086 alarm

I am trying to send a file to my model 0-M controller. It worked as recently as last week.
If I punch the I/O then READ I get the P/S 086 alarm.
If I try and send it from the original computer, same settings as the last 5 years. I get the P/S 086 alarm.
I have checked the cable, changed the cable, changed computers twice. I have tried using both CNCCOM and CicoEdit with the combinations of new and old computers and cables.
I have checked voltage on pins 7 and 20 12+ volts.
I have deleted and re-installed programs, com ports, and tried different programs.
I have checked the parameters, what I could find on them anyway.

I can not send a file from the controller to the computer.

Now this occurred since the replacement of a Fanuc power supply. But the machine has run programs already in the controller.

Any place else I need to look?

pin 7 is SG, signal ground, zero (0V) work best.

Can you upload or down load with computer and cable to another machine ?
Have you taken of the panel and checked that a wire has not come off the RS232 port on the machine ?
Can you create a program in the machine -just in edit mode --O1111 ?

Make sure you use a 3 wire cable with the hardware handshake jumpered out 4-5 6-8-20.
If it is still a problem, you may have lost the RS232 IC in the CNC end.

Ok.
I wound up changing the input to the other port on the I/O board.
I now can transmit about 800 bits and then it stops. The INPUT is flashing but no more of the file transfers.
I receive no error.

Any more advice.

Is the s/w set for XON/XOFF handshake?

Well I came in this morning and tried to send a file, and it worked.
Changed nothing from yesterday. It just decided to start working. Perhaps it is just old and tired like me.

M5 is only available
The problem does not seem to exiting itself.

The pin 6 is not "up" (that's what the alarm claims).
Which effectively raise the pin "up"?
6 -8 and 20 are jumpered together, these should be one of the "up" when the control is configured to receive?

What is "up"? -5V, +5 V,-12V or +12 V
I know that pin7 is 0v.

I am afraid that the problem is IC RS232 in the CNC end.

If using a 3 wire cable with the H.W. handshake jumpered then it could be the receiver IC, the number escapes me at the moment, but by tracing the port pins it should lead to the IC.
You also may have another port to switch to.

yep. the printed circuit board also has M75 connector, next to the M5.
Connectors are probably identical except for the M5 female and M75 male.
I wonder if the same pin-out?
I am about to acquire and prepare the cable connector.

I am convinced that the surge has caused the failure of the Fanuc.
I've been using the laptop with no connection to earth.
I found a 88V AC voltage between the ground and the body!
I do not use the laptop for data transfer in the future.

M75 connector is for something else, not RS232.
Tracing the port pins is challenging, I'll be happy to receive any information relating to A16B-1010-0240 printed circuit board coupling and IC.
In fact, I'm not going to change the IC, a co-worker to perform the work.
I attached a temporary battery, hopefully, the parameters will not be lost.

I raise this up again.
new sn75189an is now changed, no effect. circled in Fig.
The alarm 086 will appear as soon as I press the input.
