machine doesn't know m29

hello i need help? we have a hardinge pallet changer with afanuc oi-mc control. we are trying to rigid tap with no sucess the machine hangs on the M29 code in the program. even in mdi the machine won't turn the spindle on. the following is the code we are using:
G43 H13 Z.5
G95
M29 S300
G98 G84 X1. Y1. Z-.75 R.5 F.05
X-1.
G94
G80
WE WERE TOLD THAT THE RIGID TAP MODE WAS TURNED ON IN THE CONTROL. MY BOSS HAS A machine with the same control and this code works fine. any help would be greatly welcomed.

The machine may not like the x,y values on the G84 line. Try positioning the machine first,then M29 S300;
G84 G98 Z-.75 R.5 F.05;
and see if it runs.

My machine would hang during a rigid tap cycle because a gain number was too low in the spindle VFD. When the problem would happen, I could see there was power to the spindle, but it just wouldn't move. If I jarr-ed the spindle by hand, it would come to life and keep working. I ran through the VFD parameters and reset everything to factory. It works great every time now.
