DeskCNC servo driver? need some opinions

I was always thinking that servo motors were not really worth it for my Micro mill. Figuring you've got the cost of the motors, and Gecko drives are not cheap. Its just not worth it for a mill with not a great deal of travel.
BUt then i found the deskCNC servo driver on their website. If i buy 3 I can get them for 65 each, thats not too shabby.
Can somebody share their experiences with this driver? How does it compare to Geckos? I believe geckos have more capacity, but this would only be going to a desktop machine, so capacity is not a huge problem.
