Has anyone tried one of the single axis tb6560 boards?
I know there has been many problems with the 3 axis ones based on the same chip but have not seen anything about theses.

I have no experience with them, but it looks like they're doing at least one thing right, namely they are using high-speed optoisolators on the step and direction inputs. There is a reasonable chance that this board actually isolates the logic inputs from the motor circuitry (as opposed to the non-isolation of the blue boards).
It seems to be mounted on a decently-sized heat sink.
They are 'conservatively' rating the max voltage input at 24 volts.
The board has more choices for setting winding current, but the max at 3.5 amps might be a tad "optimistic".
There are other problem areas common to the blue board multi-axis TB6560 designs, and so it is not clear whether or not those have been addressed (for example, power sequencing probably would need to be handled externally in order to adhere to the cautions in the TB6560AHQ spec sheet).
You would need to supply your own DB-25 breakout board to use these drivers.
