gantry vibration
I have a kg1414 from k2, and for the most part I have been happy with it. I am using it to make some pretty delicate cuts, and the vibration in the y axis (large axis that moves the gantry) is affecting the surface of those cuts. The vibration is definitely not from any cutting process. It is the same when not running the spindle, and the cuts are extremely light on very soft material.
These vibrations would probably go unnoticed for most woodworking applications, but they have forced me to slow down my process considerably. Any advice that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!!
(The kg1414 y axis uses square rails, one on each side, attached to an aluminum extrusion frame)

Is it an audible and or visible vibration, or just something that shows up in the cut quality?

It is visible if you look at the very top of the z axis during a high feedrate move. You can also feel a vibration in the table. The sound of the gantry moving does have a bit of a rumble to it, but no loud noises anywhere.

Is it in a particular spot, or the entire length of travel?

The vibration seems to be in the entire length of travel, and random, not a regular oscillation but more of a rumble.

What is the acceleration set in the software? what software is being used to drive this machine? Seems to me the base is not supported well at all feet.

The acceleration doesn't seem to have any effect on the vibration. It is running the kmotion (dynomotion) software. The machine comes with rubber mounts, and blt holes along side the rubber mounts. I have it bolted down to the base of an enclosure made of 80/20 extrusions. Any suggestions on mounting?
I feel like there shouldn't be much vibration in the first place, no matter how it is mounted, however the rubber feet are far from a precision item. I guess it is possible the frame is being torqued slightly by different pressures on each of the rubber mounts?

Could be that it's binding, or possibly resonance in the motors.
