Wiring Config on a JP-3163b board to the A131NBC-8015
Hello can someone point me in the right direction.
I want to control the Spindle from Mach3 but not sure what wire goes where.
Have I got the PWM correct? The C and NO on the controller card I'm not sure where they go on the VFD
Attachment 274014
Any Help would be much appreciated

Just got my own (seller sent me the wrong setup : 3-axis with separate VFD & separate stepper controllers). I ordered a 4-axis setup with the single black "box" for all controls. Trying to get the seller to send me the 4th-axis item or work with me otherwise.
Anyways - did you program your VFD to allow the External Settings? (Pn03 = 4 & Pn04 = 2 .. not sure if Pn28 needs to be set - will test if I decide to keep this 3-axis setup).
The relay lines appear to need to go to ports 14/15/16 but I haven't dug into it yet to figure out which is for C (common) and which is for NO (normally open) .. ports 14/15/16 are Lk (Relay ON) / Lb (Relay OFF) / Lz (Relay ON/OFF) ..
I'll keep checking in to see if any guru's and experienced persons post up too.

You have found a solution?

Did you sort out the settings for the Askpower A131 VFD? I can't get mine to work with the external potentiometer despite following the suppliers instructions (in broken english). It's connected to an 800 watt 400hz spindle that will onmly run at half speed with the pot. Any help with the VFD settings would be much appreciated. Mick

Have you managed to solve this problem? I have had this machine for 5 years now with same setup with Mach 3 and can't seem to turn the spindle on and off. This means I do it manually and it's costing me money leaving spindle running for hours down the workshop! Otherwise the router is great! Thanks Mick

If you VFD controlled by 0-10V and you supply it with PWM signal how do you expect it to work?
You need to get a controller that supplies 0-10V or a converter that converts PWM signal in to 0-10V.
Most of VFD I worked with still need to be programmed to accept that signal …
