Tool Offset Issue
I may need a little guidance for this one.
I think the problem may be with Path Pilot itself.
My first tool was number 1 that I set my work zero with. Then it ran tool 8 with the correct offset. Then it came to tool number two. It should have used it's offset, but clearly did not. It snapped a bit because of it. I don't even use tool number 3 in these parts. Why did it choose to use it's offset for tool 2?
Anyone seen that before?
I may have to go get the latest greatest, but I heard it may have issues with tapping.
I might give it s hot anyway.

Re: Tool Offset Issue
How was tool 2 selected? Are you sure there's no G43 H3? Pathpilot knows it's not using the offset for tool 2 and that's why the tool length is displayed with a red background.

Re: Tool Offset Issue
That is exactly it.
I would never have thought I made that kind of mistake setting up the tools in Fusion 360.
But..........;)
Thanks a bunch for the quick answer.

Re: Tool Offset Issue
I've had that same issue with Fusion a couple of times. After the second incident I changed the post processor so that it ignores the "length offset" value and uses the tool number for the length offset.

Re: Tool Offset Issue
There are some little intricacies in Fusion and until you actually start running parts, you may not catch them all. :)
That was the only tool that had a different offset number.
Been having some computer related issues with PP as well, but slowly getting on top of those.
I had to replace the graphics card.
The onboard graphics were not powerful enough to run code off F360. It would freeze the screen when it tried to display the tool paths. I am running 4 parts at a time, so pretty busy tool paths. :)
Then I could not get a keyboard that would be powered up when I needed to hit the shift alt key to go into the desktop. :(
Luckily I had an old PS2 keyboard and it would do what I needed.
I expect to be running parts early this AM. :)
Thanks again.
