New Table trying 1st cut - Home/ travel are in the position I need letters backward
Hello,
I just finished my table and got it running. I have to home in the back left corner due to space issues. I thought I had it oriented right, but I dont so I switched the homing direction. The problem is when I cut letters in the Y axis (long direction of the table) it is carving them mirrored. I will attach images. Is there anyway to keep its home in the back left but not carve backwards without reversing the whole gantry? I have tried to figure it out, but no change.
Thanks

First, reverse the Y axis motor so the machine cuts true un-mirrored letters.
Then just tell your control software that your Y homing switch is at Y=1000 (or whatever your Y axis travel is).
You did not say which program you are using. If it's Mach3, here is my machine's configuration to give you an example.

On the X and Y axes, the home switches are at 0 - so the "Home offset" is 0 and the "Home Negative" is on.
On the Z axis, the home switch is at Z=60. Hence the "Home offset" is 60 and the "Home Negative" is off.
I have yet to figure out what exactly Art meant by "Reversed". It seems that this parameter just needs to stay off no matter where your switches are.
