i have a mori SL-3H
FANUC 6T CONTROLS
being a sensible person for a change need to make a backup of the parameters just encase.
does anyone have a procedure to do it.
i have the pc set correctly (we use to up & download programs to and from machine and computer)

i have tried typing p-9999 & punch out and this doesn't work
any help would be great
On those old controls a notepad and a pen work very good for copying down all the parameters. There is really not that many and it will probably take you less than a half an hour to write all the parameters down. My old Mori sl3b has the Yasnac 2000g control. I can write those parameters down in about 10 to 15 minutes. The Fanuc 6 May have more parameters but even still this works. I once hand entered all the parameters on a Fanuc 18T. Much more of a control than the Fanuc 6. It was not bad. Couple of hours and it was done. It was interesting to see the machine slowly come back to life as the codes were entered. And you learned much about what some of the parameters do to the machine. Like options and such. Do you know that color screen is an option? At one point before the machine was fully online, the screen was B&W! Only after the color screen option was turned on later in my code entry did the color return. Kinda silly that Fanuc had this as an option. Like it was 1965 or something! HA!
