I'm trying to add comments to my program but don't have the "( )" symbols on the key pad, I was told that there is a way to modify the "[ ]" symbols. This is for a takamaz lathe with a 21TB controller. I know there is a way to do it but I can't seem to find it in my book.
Any help would be great

hit the shift key then try the number and letter keys.brackets are a shift function of another key.
For 21i-TB Parameter 3204 bit #0
When a small keyboard is used, characters “[” and “]” are:
0 : Used as “[” and “]”.
1 : Used as “(” and “)”.

Kind of strange but on these lathes they use the shift with the +Z and -Z for the turret which is not even part of the main key pad, got the info from one of our Japanese techs
