K40 Laser Cutting Machine - Can't find USB Device

I run Windows 10 and have purchases a K40 Laser Cutting Machine.
I have been speaking with the manufacturer and K40 Whisperer regarding the issue I am having.

Basis of the problem is that Device Manager on Windows 10 CAN detect the USB Dongle however, no matter what I do, I cannot see the Laser K40 at all ! No Driver or device showing.

I have installed drivers for LaserDRW and for K40 Whisperer to no avail.

Have also tried to set device manager to show nonpresent devices and hidden devices - that didn't work either.

I bought a replacement motherboard for the USB connection - didn't work (also waiting for one from the manufacturer).
Tried 3 different USB cables - didn't work.
Tried Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 - didn't work.

So my question is! Can anyone help me to find the K40 Laser on Windows 10 PLEASE !

I really don't want a £300 doorstop - I'd prefer to be able to use the laser cutter.
