Simdisk Trouble
Hello enjoyers of brushed axis motors and broken toolchanger arms, i have managed to bork the simdisk before backing it all up and now i have a perfectly good machine without an operating system.
It is an old VM16 with centurion 6 6.104 with a 486-ncb ii-simdisk combo with glentek drives, if anybody has a backup of a similar machine i would really appreciate it. I have lost/ ROM/ and the toolchange macro for the 12 tool geneva wheel.

Re: Simdisk Trouble
I'm out of town for a few days, but when I get home I should be able to help you. I have the exact same machine it sounds like. Send me a message Friday or this weekend and I'll see what I can get to you. Chris (at) tripleaxismfg.com

That would be perfect, thanks a lot
Hopefully up and running in the weekend then, back to fixing the damn wire to keep myself busy :)

Re: Simdisk Trouble
Finally up and running, turns out the floppy was partially dead, messed up with cf card ide adapters, other hard drives and dos installers for months. It wasnt happy with the cf cards even with a 16mb card up to a gig.
I installed dos 6.22 on a 32mb ide dom with a gotek emulator flashed to flashfloppy, tweaked the path file to point the rom and ram to the c drive folders and it came up to life. Redoing the network setup and tweaking the ramdrive to take advantage of the extra ram i installed next.
tiny tip:the front keyboard connector did not work in the bios but worked when the machine is running or in dos. i had unplug the harness and plug to the bottom of the motherboard directly. two weeks wasted
